A short introduction to Labbet
What is Labbet?
Labbet is an organisation for playwrights and anyone else working with plays and scripts in Swedish in Finland. We run courses, workshops, arrange readings, drama slams, meetings and publish play scripts, as books as well as online in our Pjäsbank (Script collection), which also includes some translations in to other languages than Swedish. To be able to download and read the scripts you need to register and log in to the site. We also offer professional feedback on scripts to our paying members.
Who is Labbet?
The people taking part in – and being a part of – Labbet and our activities cover a wide range, from first time writers and emerging talents to established and award winning playwrights. They are writers, dramaturgs, actors, directors, filmmakers, journalists, students, etc.
Our board for 2017 consists of Paul Olin (chair), Harriet Abrahamsson, Jessica Edén, Lasse Garoff and Linnea Stara. Nina-Maria Häggblom is the deputy board member.
